Health data
Beer Energy requests read-only access to Active Energy in Apple HealthKit. It uses today’s total to calculate and display an estimated beer equivalent. The app does not write to HealthKit. Health data is not sent to the publisher, advertisers, analytics providers or other third parties by the app.
On-device storage
Today’s reading is cached in the device’s local App Group container so the app and its widgets can use it. Cached readings are protected by system file protection after the first unlock and excluded from backup. Readings from previous days or an incompatible time zone are not used. Preferences, such as beer style and energy unit, are stored locally.
Your iPhone and Apple Watch
Each device reads its own HealthKit store. Only preferences are exchanged between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch through Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework. Beer Energy does not transfer Health readings between devices.
No tracking or advertising in the app
Beer Energy has no app account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or third-party tracking. The publisher does not operate an app server that receives Health readings. Health data is not used for marketing or profiling.
Your controls
You can decline or revoke Health read access in Apple Health or system Settings. Remove widgets and complications to stop showing readings on those surfaces. To remove cached app data, remove Beer Energy and its companion app from your devices; this does not delete the original Health records.
Website and hosting
Cuprea s.r.o. operates beerenergy.cz. This static website does not use analytics, advertising pixels, accounts, forms, cookies or browser storage. When you visit, the web server processes technical request data, including your IP address, the requested address and browser information, to deliver the site and protect it against misuse. Where access or security logs are retained, we keep them only as long as necessary to operate the website, investigate security incidents or meet legal obligations. This processing serves our legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure website.
Your privacy rights
Where applicable under data protection law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data we hold about you, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us using the address below. You may also complain to a supervisory authority, including the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ). Health records held only on your devices remain under your control through Apple Health and system settings.
Support and privacy requests
Cuprea s.r.o. is the publisher of Beer Energy and the controller of personal data received through this website or support email. If you contact us, we use your email address and message to respond, resolve the request and keep necessary correspondence. Our legitimate interest is to provide support and handle privacy requests; legal obligations may also require records. We retain correspondence only as long as needed for these purposes. Email infrastructure providers process the information needed to deliver messages. We do not receive Health data from the app, so please do not send Health readings unless necessary for your request.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our data practices change and show the effective date above. The current policy covers the Beer Energy app and beerenergy.cz. External websites, including Apple websites linked from the setup guide, have their own privacy policies.
